There were 179 people on board the plane. Of which, 17 were crew members. The latest death toll is 81 people died. 11 Singaporeans were presumed dead, 6 were still hospitalised and 11 were having outpatient treatment.
Two of the "black box" were recovered and decoded. The inital report may be out by today afternoon.

The corpses were badly burnt till beyond recognition. Taiwan forensic pathologists are trying their best to identify the bodies using DNA. The 46 bodies that have been identified are sent to Tao Yuan funeral parlour for religion rituals capt_taiwan_plane_crash_45z.jpg (13912 bytes)
Preparations of the funeral rituals were done on Thursday afternoon (2/11/2000). The parlour was divided into 2 parts. The first part was the Buddhist and Taoist rituals. The latter was for other religions rituals such as the Hinduism, Christianity, Muslims etc.

Could SQ006 knock onto foreign objects? Or could it be the wind shears that caused the crash? We shall be still awaiting for the results to be out.
